Branxholme runs a herd of purebred grey brahman cattle. Brahman cattle excel in the coastal country of central Queensland, maintaining condition and weight gains throughout the year. The cattle are regularly handled with horses and dogs, minimizing the stress and injuries that come with more aggressive handling methods. Our goal is to build a sustainable herd through utilizing farming methods and techniques that focus on land regeneration for example ponded pastures and natural sequence farming. More recently we have adopted new technologies that allow for sustained monitoring of the herd and the pasture conditions, facilitating greater planning towards our future growth.
